Fair Use Guidelines

CoParentCare is a positive space built to help parents work together for the wellbeing of their children. These simple rules help keep it that way.

Core Principles

Children First

Every post should centre on the needs and wellbeing of children. If your post could embarrass or upset a child who reads it one day, reconsider before publishing.

Constructive Tone

Write as if a mediator or family court judge will read your post. Focus on solutions, share experiences positively, and avoid language designed to blame or demean.

Respect Privacy

Do not post personal information about your co-parent, children, or other family members without their consent. This includes addresses, financial details, and health information.

Stay Factual

Sharing experiences is fine — making accusations or one-sided claims about your co-parent is not. Use the Concern Journal for private documentation and the Resolution tool for disputes.

Share Useful Content

Great posts share parenting tips, link to expert resources, announce schedule changes positively, celebrate milestones, or highlight new platform features.

No Harassment

Posts targeting, humiliating, or intimidating your co-parent or any other user will be removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

Great posts include…
  • Tips on managing shared school schedules
  • Links to child development or co-parenting articles
  • Positive announcements (new activity, school event)
  • Advice on navigating holidays together
  • Questions seeking community support or ideas
  • Platform updates and new feature announcements (admin)
  • Encouragement and success stories
Posts that will be removed…
  • Accusations or complaints directed at your co-parent
  • Personal information shared without consent
  • Screenshots or quotes of private messages
  • Content designed to embarrass or retaliate
  • Profanity, abusive language, or threats
  • Unverified legal or medical claims
  • Anything that draws children into adult conflict

Use the Right Tool

CoParentCare has purpose-built features for sensitive situations. Posts are not the right place for these:

Concern Journal

For private, AI-structured documentation of concerns — not public posts.

Resolution Centre

For raising and resolving disputes through AI-assisted mediation.

Chat

For direct, private communication with your co-parent.

What happens if these guidelines are not followed?

Posts that violate these guidelines may be removed without notice. Repeated or serious violations — including harassment, threats, or sharing children's personal information — may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform. Our goal is always to support healthy co-parenting, so we will reach out before taking action wherever possible.
